I was recently blessed with the opportunity to listen to the album "Awakened Earth" by the band, Mirabai Ceiba. What an honor!!
From the very first note of the very first song, it starts off as haunting and builds to a crescendo of Bliss all the way to the end of the CD!
With a blending and fullness of such sounds as guitar, harp, cello, strings, flute, drums, Irish Whistle and keyboards, to what sounds like a child's play piano, bells, auxiliary percussion, and vocals stacked in perfect harmonies that soar and glide and take you on a beautiful ride of your heart, I was mesmerized listening to every song!
Mirabai Ceiba is Markus Sieber and Angelika Baumbach who blends the styles of kirtan, world music, meditation, Native American traditional, and several other forms of music together to form such a beautiful balance of heart, soul, depth, and breadth!
I HIGHLY recommend you take the time to listen to this band! You will be glad you did!
